Grandpa was born in Nelson, New Zealand and grew up in a little 1920's bungalow style house in Hokitika, the west coast of Nelson. Granpa was raised as a Christian and is still guided today by God. He did not have the easiest childhood however, at the age of 4, his Parents divorced and he was left in the care of his mother with his two sisters. Later on His Father remarried to another woman and Granpa's Mother struggled a lot without the support of her husband. Granpa remembers having two loving Granparents who would help out his mother whenever they could.
During his childhood, Granpa enjoyed sea scouts and cycling. As he reached his teenage years he loved fixing up and driving about in old cars and motorbikes. Grandpa still enjoys fixing things and has his own home workshop where he works away for hours on end.

Granny was born in Hobart, Tasmania and moved to New Zealand by ship when she was just 6 months old. As she was growing up she lived in a small wooden three bedroom house, she heard about world news through the newspaper and the radio. Granny was raised as a christian and shows this in her everyday life by following the ten commandments.

My Dad was born in Paparoa,Northland in New Zealand and grew up in a concrete block house up on the hillside overloking Richmond in Nelson. He was raised a Baptist and attended church almost every sunday with his parents. During his childhood he heard about the news through the newspaper, radio and television.
Growing up and as a teenager my dad loved to make music. he played the drums and later on he learned the guitar and was part of a band.

My Mum was born in Frankfurt in Germany and grew up in a big multi-storey house with a large garden. She was raised a christian and attended a Lutheran Church as a child. Religion has always played a big role in my mothers life, she was confirmed at the age of 14, went to church on sundays and when she got married to my dad she was married in a church. As a child my mum herd about world news through the television and the newspaper.
Mum did figure skating, horse vaulting, ballet, volleyball and akedo during her childhood.
